Nondestructive material testing is a relatively new area for Roland Electronic. However, the sensor principles -- magnetic flux leakage and eddy current -- where we have acquired considerable competence over the years because of our activities in weld seam detection and weld seam positioning. The comprehensive experience with various welding methods, different types of materials, additional material treatments, for example annealing, have resulted in the wealth of knowledge, which enables us especially in difficult applications to achieve good results when standard equipment does not suffice.
