Magnetic flux leakage and eddy current sensors, whether in the tube loader or before hydroforming or hydroforming (IHU), can be used to detect weld seams in tube bending machines for the repeatable production of automotive components. With the new SND40 system, a PC-supported device is available for the first time. According to the manufacturer, it combines the strengths of analog sensor technology with digital signal evaluation for weld seam detection. Proven flux leakage sensors and innovative eddy current probes as well as camera and laser systems make the SND40 a highly flexible integrated weld seam detector.
