"5th Korean Forming Technology Day" conferences

On 26. April 2023 the "5th Korean Forming Technology Day" conferences took place in Seoul and on 28. April 2023 in Gyeongju, Korea.

 

During these conferences, current technologies and the latest state of the art in the field of sheet metal forming were presented. The events organized by local experts of HANSAE, Korea included interesting presentations by well-known companies like BILSING AUTOMATION GmbH, DREHER AUTOMATION, FAGOR ARRASATE, ROLAND ELECTRONIC GmbH and WEIL TECHNOLOGY.

As part of these conferences, Mr. Christian Schäfer, Head of Export Sales at ROLAND ELECTRONIC, presented the latest developments in Double Sheet Detection and Weld Seam Detection to an interested audience.

Double Sheet Detection ensures the protection of the downstream press line in a reliable manner through the usage of advanced sensor technology.

The Weld Seam Detection from ROLAND ELECTRONIC allows reliable detection of even invisible weld seams, even contamination by oil or dirt has no negative influence on the measurement. A secure positioning of the weld seam of longitudinally welded tubes allows material fatigue to be avoided and allows a repeatable accurate tube geometry to be produced on subsequent bending machines. Thanks to Weld Seam Detection on the coil, weld seams can be reliably found and cut out, while at endless cables due to plastic sheathing, concealed joints, i.e. invisible ones can be reliably detected, cut out and discharged.
