- Testing steel cord webs prior to the buildup of radial tires in order to detect so-called spacing faults early at the cutting and splicing operation.
- Coverage up to 100% of the steel cord width by an array up to 16 sensors.
A special magnetic inductive steel cord inspection system was developed for testing steel cord webs prior to the buildup of radial tires in order to detect so-called spacing faults early at the cutting and splicing operation.
The new Steel Cord Inspection System SIS G3 is available now in its 3rd generation with Full HD for better overview.
SIS was already characterized by significant improvements: The sensors are 120 mm wide and not only 20 mm as before.
Up to 16 sensors can be connected via modules to the central analysis unit. This makes it possible to monitor practically the whole widths of the steel cord web.
With the latest product SCS20 Roland supports the tire manufacturers with modern magnetic sensor technology to determin the real EPI values. The high speed digitals signal processing allows a reliable steel cord analysis. Another operation mode of the SCS20 allows to count the wires while uncoiling the material.
Coming soon: The highlight at the Trade Fair for tire technology from February 20. - 22. 2018 in Hanover, Germany will be our new full adjustable sensor bracket SIS-ACU.
