ROLAND ELECTRONIC GmbH presented the SIS VISION Steel Cord Inspection System, which was developed for use in cutting and splicing systems for steel cord.
The benefit: Early prevention of defects in the steel cord in order to save material, energy and work performance in the best possible way. A live demo of SIS VISION for 90° material (body ply) and a sensor unit for breaker material (15°-75°) attracted the full attention of interested visitors. The "SIS VISION VALIDATION" tool was also presented, which ensures that the system is always optimally adjusted and therefore always guarantees the same detection quality. The latest enhancement to the SIS VISION portfolio is the SIS VISION SERVER, an add-on for new and existing systems that enables the recording of inspection results over a long period of time in order to identify and eliminate recurring problems and faults and their possible causes. The interest shown by visitors to our booth is a signal that the industry appreciates the further development of our SIS VISION product series, which can now be divided into the following important stages:
- SIS VISION BASE (90° material - body ply)
- SIS VISION ACU (breaker material 15°-75°)
- SIS VISION VALIDATION (for sustainable optimal adjustment of the system)
- SIS VISION SERVER (recording of test results over a long period of time)
The advantages of the SIS VISION product series for our customers:
- Extreme reduction in unplanned downtime and higher system availability
- High, consistent efficiency and quality through production monitoring
- Savings in raw materials, energy and CO2 emissions
- Fast return on investment and sustainable cost savings
- Simple integration of all modules in a SIS VISION BASE
SIS VISION Product Manager and Deputy Head of R&D Philipp Rott at the TIRE 2024: "We are very pleased about the great interest in our products and the confirmation that a SIS Vision is a 'must have' for a tire production plant with high standards." Philipp Rott was able to underline this during his presentation at the Tire Technology Conference Center entitled "Quality data exchange between SIS Vision and MES".
